1. I work in an industry that has little or no relation to technology; Why should I participate?
After bringing over 650 business men and women from 15 different countries (at least 80% coming from traditional business industries) to Silicon Valley, we have seen the great impact on all of them after Immersion Program.
The vast majority of the participants generated ideas that implemented upon returning to their countries,
whether those were changes to their current businesses, or ideas for new projects to start.
Other participants discover how all traditional businesses can receive a boost with the use of simple tools
and technology reach. All gain valuable experience and inspiration to think out of the box and return to their projects with a different perspective.
2. Do I need an advanced level of English language to participate? In what language are the conferences held?
For groups coming from Spanish speaking countries approximately 60% of the presentations are in Spanish, although this may vary. In the past we have had participants who despite having a very basic level of English have had an experience as valuable as the rest of the group. In addition, participants will have the option of renting simultaneous translation equipment for an additional fee.
3. Why aren't the dinners included in the Program?
This way we can give the participants the oportunity to plan the rest of the day as they wish. In the evenings we drop off the participants in places with a lot of options for dining, shopping, visiting the tourist attractions etc.
4. Which companies and institutions are participating? When can one know the final schedule?
The final schedule is set aproximately three weeks before the event takes place. Because of the high level of
the lecturers we visit, it is hard to make agreements in advance. However, we anticipate that like in all of our Immersion Programs, we do a program balanced with the presence of:
At least two iconic technology companies (Google, Apple, Cisco, Facebook, Oracle, Intel, Twitter,
Tesla, Linked In, eBay, Skype, Genentech)
One of the world's top universities (Stanford or UC Berkeley)
Business Incubators or Accelerators (i.e. Plug and Play Tech Center), where great ompanies like
PayPalor Dropbox emerged
Startups on their way of becoming the next giants of Silicon Valley
…in addition to other relevant organizations and activities.
5. Is the transportation to the airport included in the price?
Yes, all local ground transportation is included in the program, including transportation to the airport and
back. However, we can only cover the travel costs of participants arriving on Sunday stipulated in the
program and returning the following Saturday. Participants wishing to reach U.S. or return sooner or later
for personal reasons must arrange their own transportation (we can help to provide phone numbers of taxi companies or vans that make transfers)
6. Do you send invoices for the participants?
Yes, all the participants will receive an invoice.
7. What if I have alredy deposited and something unexpected comes up? What kind of
cancelation policy do you have?
For cancellations made up to two months before, the amount paid will be refunded with the USD 200 of inscription and possible transfer fees discounted. For cancellations made after the above date we will refund the total amount paid less 50% of the program fee. However, this amount will remain as credits (personal and non transferable) for the participant to use for a future program.
