Tis the season to put a smile on a child's face!
Efforts to assist The Salvation Army with their Angel Tree Program is underway. Benefiting Pulaski, Floyd, Montgomery and Giles counties along with Radford City, these programs provide Christmas assistance to families in need. Through The Salvation Army Angel Tree program, donors can give joy to a child in need during the holiday season. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. Through Angel Tree, hundreds of local children will find gifts waiting under their Christmas trees.
Angel Trees are decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age and gender of a child in need of gifts. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags. Once a child has been registered as an "Angel," The Salvation Army makes a promise to provide Christmas for that child. This promise includes a variety of gifts for each child. To accomplish this, The Salvation Army depends on the generosity of individual donors, corporations and organizations. Last year, local companies, organizations and individuals helped fulfill the gift requests of more than 600 local children who would otherwise have not had gifts at Christmas.
The Salvation Army elves will be onsite to collect the donated "angel" gifts early morning, December 5th, 2019. Be sure to have your gift to us by the end of the work day Wednesday, December 4th!

Supporting Nonprofit Organizations Makes an Impact
"We make a living by what we get," Winston Churchill once said. "[But] we make a life by what we give."
When we give our time and resources to something greater than ourselves, we have the power to change the lives of others and ourselves. The more we support the causes that matter to us, the better our communities can become.
While registration is not necessary to participate in the Angel Tree or Humane Society Program, we thought this would be an ideal place for you to tell us what (nonprofit) you would like to see supported throughout the year.
Once you have collected your items, please place them in a bag or box or trash bag.
Children have written their wish list on an angel tag and included their name, age, size and gender to assist in determining appropriate gifts. It is not required to purchase all items requested. Any listed item can be purchased and substitutions made; no toy guns please.
You may also drop off gifts for the Humane Society.
