Richard Pibernik received his doctorate from Goethe University in Frankfurt. From 2004 to 2007 he was a Research Affiliate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and worked as a Professor of Supply Chain Management within the scope of the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program at Zaragoza Logistics Center (in Spain). After returning to Germany, he directed the Chair of Supply Chain Management at EBS Business School in Wiesbaden, where he was Head of the Department for Supply Chain Management and Information Systems and Vice Dean of Research.
