The economic and social impacts of COVID-19 have disproportionately affected women and highlighted structural weaknesses in APEC economies. Between the job insecurity women face, the increased unpaid labor they are providing, and their higher representation in the global heath workforce this crisis is rapidly exacerbating preexisting inequalities. Recovery will require policies that are developed with a gender lens and implemented through public and private sector collaboration. Join us for conversation with leading business executives and the Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat which will explore how APEC's Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy and private sector initiatives can offer economies policy options and best practices that will advance economic recovery and drive change.
