Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China for nearly 20 years. Prior to assuming his position in San Francisco in 2015, he was previously Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka. Before that he was Director of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and early in his career he served as Vice Consul at the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago. He is a graduate of Shandong Teachers' University and Foreign Affairs College in Beijing.

As Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco, Ms Subrina CHOW represents the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in fostering economic ties between Hong Kong and 19 states in the western part of the United States. Her Office also provides information and support to businesses in the region looking to establish or expand their presence in Hong Kong as well as those interested in entering the Mainland and other Asian markets via Hong Kong.
